Top Ten Tuesday

Hosted by Broke and Bookish, this weeks Top Ten Tuesday topic is...
Top Ten Books We'd Love To See As A Movie Or TV Show
I am so excited for this topic! I love tv and movies! (Note: this is in our dream world where neither gets butchered!)

For The CW Network:

1. The It-Girl series by Cecily von Ziegesar ---> We already had Gossip Girl which I really liked but I love this spin off series more and I think it would be fun to make it for the younger generation. (Read my review of the first two books HERE)
2. The Private series by Kate Brian ---> I was debating what network I would choose for this show but I think it would fit at the CW because of the fancy rich people. It would definitely fit on ABC Family though because of the fun murder plot. (Read my review of the series HERE)
3. Secrets of My Hollywood Life by Jen Calonita ---> I love anything that has to do with the rich and famous and this would be so fun!

For ABC Family:

1. The Lying Game series by Sara Shepard ---> This was already a tv show on this station but it got canceled and left us with a major cliffhanger! It's one of my favorite shows ever and I WANT IT BACK.
2. My Life Undecided by Jessica Brody ---> If you read my review of this book then you know I really love Brooklyn and I felt like I lost a best friend when I finished the book. She would fit perfectly on ABC Family.

Movies:

1. The Rescue by Nicholas Sparks ---> This was the first book I ever read by Sparks and it still hasn't gotten made into a movie. So sad!
2. A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness ---> These books are huge and I'm not sure how they would play out as a movie but I'm really curious. And I'm still waiting for the third one! Ugh.
3. Lux series by Jennifer L. Armentrout ---> I hear Obsidian has already been put into motion and they really need to hurry up. I've mentioned before that I would LOVE to see Alex Pettyfer as Daemon :) (Read my reviews of the first four books HERE and HERE)
4. The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith ---> This books takes place over 24 hours which is perfect for a movie. Plus some of it is set in London and there's a hot British boy. Winning. (Read my review HERE)
5. Meant To Be by Lauren Morrill ---> This book is tied with The Statistical Probability as my favorite book this year. I'm obsessed. And this one also takes place in London (over a 10 day period) and it's hilarious and so cute! (Read my review HERE)

Honorable mentions:
Pivot Point by Kasie West (Read my review HERE)
The Secret Circle by L.J. Smith (I haven't read the books but I was in love with the tv show and they left us with a major cliffhanger as well! Grrr.)

  5. I want The Lying Game back SOOOOO bad!!! It was my favorite show and I can't believe they cancelled it with an ending like it had! How can they do this?? Anyway... I love your CW picks! Good idea! Meant to Be could definitely be a cute movie. I mean who wouldn't want to watch a movie with kids wandering around London?

  6. I have not read The Rescue, but all of Nicholas Sparks' previous book-to-movie adaptions have been huge hits. I'm sure that The Rescue would follow in it's predecessors' footsteps.

  7. The It Girl would be an awesome CW show. I enjoyed the books as far as I read them.

I would love both A Discovery of Witches and The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight to be movies.

I still need to read Meant to Be but I've heard such good things about it.

  10. I loved GG! I could never really get into the books though, but I think I'd enjoy a TV show of The It Girl. It's about Jenny, right?
I started watching The Lying Game, but I gave up sometime during season 1. I don't even know how far I got into it.
Meant to Be and The Statistical Probability would be ADORABLE films! <3
And yes to Obsidian! I want Daemon on the big screen!
    Great list :)

  13. That stinks that The Lying Games got cancelled! I've never watched it but I can just imagine what it must be like to end a show on a cliffhanger like that!!
