My Life With The Walter Boys - Ali Novak

Summary from Goodreads:

Sixteen-year old Jackie Howard knows nothing about her new guardian Katherine Walter when she moves from New York to Colorado. After discovering that Katherine has twelve boys, Jackie fears that living in the Walter house isn't going to be easy. It's just icing on the cake that the boys look like Abercrombie models...

OH MY GOD. My Life With The Walter was AMAZING. I love Wattpad and read fanfics on there all the time - it really helps me when I'm in a reading slump, so it's amazing to see one actually published! I knew as soon as I held it that I was going to love it. And then the opening sentence: "I never felt bad for Romeo and Juliet," had me even more hooked. When I first got introduced to the twelve boys (really eleven - one is a girl who is a tomboy), I was worried I was going to have a hard time keeping them straight and I did have a hard time with the youngest children since they aren't a major part of the story, so I had to flip back to refresh my memory, but it wasn't a big deal. My favorite boys were Cole (he's a hottie), Isaac (I'm basically just in love with everything he says), and Nathan (he's nice and comforting). My ideal guy would have Cole's looks with Nathan's music skills and Isaac's jokes/sarcasm and Lee's skater skills as well! I've seen some comments about how this book is basically Kate Brian's Megan Meade's Guide to the McGowan Boys but Ali Novak has said that she's taken out all the resemblance's and changed the story. I love Kate Brian's book but I don't remember it so I can't say too much about this. My Life With The Walter Boys does get a sequel which makes me so so so HAPPY because the ending was left so wide open and I just can't part with these characters yet. The sequel won't be out until 2016 though *insert crying gif here.* But in the meantime I have been reading Ali's other Wattpad stories to fill the void and she has some good ones coming out! So happy to see Wattpad being a great starting point for all these authors out there!
