Summary: Alexandria Lee is forced to move to Savannah, Georgia to live with her grandmother, Miss Lee, after her mother dies a terrible accident. Upon arrival, Alex learns of the Magnolia League which she is supposed to join since she is a legacy. But she soon learns that everything is not what it seems and that everything has a price.
I am so glad I finally finished this book. I found reading this book to be a chore and it was hardly enjoyable. I really liked the concept and I LOVE the cover but I ended up not enjoying the idea of hoodoo and magic. I love the location it took place in. I got this book from the library because it kind of had a secret society type of feel to it but it wasn't great. I am curious of course about the second book and in the future I definitely want to read it. The first one does leave you wondering what's going to happen next.
