Summary: Kate is being dragged from the summer she has planned at home in Salt Lake City to go spend the summer on Cape Cod with her mom and some old friends.

This book was a little iffy for me. I started off kind of liking it then I didn't like it and now I kind of do like it. It definitely wasn't anything special. The writing seemed a little weak in some spots and I really didn't particularly like Kate or Adam, her romantic interest. I did like that she was from Utah and that they talked about skiing at Deer Valley in Park City because that's where I lived and worked for the last two and a half years. I liked that Kate had so many interests (writing, reading, and playing tennis) but I didn't feel like I got a sense of who she was. Something felt off that I can't place. While Adam was cute and they shared some cute moments, I have found that I don't approve of their relationship. The ending between them was cute though. Another major event for this book is between Kate's parents. They're going through a rough patch (that's why her mom dragged her away for the summer) and we're left hanging as to whether or not they're going to stay together or get a divorce. Kate also didn't talk to her best friend for the majority of the book and while I assume they're going to patch up their friendship, we're still kind of left hanging. Overall, this book seems a little unfinished for me and was a bit disappointing.

Summary: All Kiki has ever known was what her parents told her. That her sister Sukey died in a horrible accident. When her parents go on vacation, Kiki receives a phone call that sends her on a crazy journey to find out what really happened to her sister.

(*Contains slight spoilers*) I really, really, REALLY did not like this book. I felt crazed and I was really going crazy while reading it. Researching this book, I keep seeing that it explores love but all I got from it was that Kiki is crazy. Right off the bat I find out she's a pot smoker which I hate. And then she goes on this crazy hunt in a terrible part of town to learn more about her sister. It's dangerous and the people she meets are homeless drunks. She meets Skunk and he has something wrong mentally, too. The book mentions depression but it has to be something more then that. I think it's bipolar disorder or something because she is so manic and Skunk is so paranoid. And Kiki's thoughts just drove me insane. This book reminded me of the movie Black Swan because Natalie Portman went crazy because of her mother pushing her in ballet and Kiki was being pushed to practice piano 24/7. There was one point where Kiki took like 10 ibuprofen and a whole bunch of sleeping pills and no one did anything and she kept taking more and I just really wanted to scream. I could probably say more but I'll end it by saying that this book just really wasn't for me.

Summary: When Addie is faced with a choice, she can look into the future and see two possible outcomes. She is a Searcher and lives at the Compound with other people who also have special abilities. When her parents decide to get a divorce, Addie is asked to choose which parent to live with. To make the decision, Addie will search six weeks into the future. Both paths show that she will experience loss of some sort, so it comes down to which future she can live with the most.

I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH THAT I COULD CRY. In fact, I did cry last night as I finished it. I loved everything about this book. I love how unique the storyline is. I love Addie and Laila's friendship. I love Addie's attitude. I love Duke (I also hate him though). I LOVE TREVOR. Oh my gosh, Trevor is so perfect! At first I was Team Duke but then I found out some stuff about him and I was like "I'm going to Team Trevor now." When Addie brought Trevor a heating pad for his hurt shoulder, I DIED. That whole bedroom scene was the BEST. I'm glad I ended up liking Trevor. When I first met him, he was wearing a jean jacket and cowboy boots and I was like "Uh. NO." The ending to this book was so so so sad! I don't want to spoil anything but seriously GO READ THIS BOOK. It's officially my second favorite book I've read this year. And I just saw that there's going to be a sequel which I'm honestly a little concerned about because my expectations are set really high but I can't wait to read it!
