Once Upon A Read-A-Thon (Day 3)

It's the final day of the...
I am happy to say that I met my goal of reading two books! I was going to read more but decided not to. The books I read were:
The Au Pairs (Book 1) - Melissa de la Cruz
Flirting in Italian - Lauren Henderson
I thought The Au Pairs was ok but Flirting in Italian was just a big NO. I really wanted to like it, I did, but it just didn't work for me. Those reviews will eventually be up along with the other three that I have to do - I am so behind!

Challenge: What is your favorite genre? What is your favorite book within that genre? Who is your favorite character within that genre?
Genre: Young Adult - Teen/Romance
Book: The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight - Jennifer E. Smith
Character: Oliver - The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight
I really do sound like a broken record player, always talking about that book but it's amazing!

So, that's it for me. Thank you to all of the hosts of this RaT:

Feel free to leave me a comment and let me know how you did! :)

Once Upon A Read-A-Thon (Day 2)

It's DAY TWO of the...
Update: I have about 40 pages left to read of The Au Pairs book 1 by Melissa de la Cruz then I am going to start Flirting In Italian by Lauren Henderson!

Challenge: Answer the following question.
You're in a bookstore and you've just purchased five books you've been dying to read, but then the apocalypse hits. You've got one chance at survival, what two books do you take and what three items do you take?
Answer: If I was in a bookstore right now, the books I would be buying are the House of Night series by P.C. and Kristin Cast. So I would choose books 2 and 3 in the series because I've already read the first one so I want to keep ones I haven't read yet. (This would be terrible though because thanks to the apocalypse, I would never know what happens! So either way it's a lose-lose.) Now this question doesn't specify where I can get these other three items but I'm assuming a bookstore...so, that leaves books and bookmarks and games, and some electronics. I guess I would choose the sharpest, best looking bookmarks so I can stab some people? Not really sure on that one!

Challenge: Make your dream guy using characteristics, personalities, looks and anything else you can think of from your favorite book boyfriends.
Answer: I would choose the personality and accent of Oliver from Jennifer E. Smith's The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight, the strength of Dimitri from Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series, and the braveness/bad boyness/protectiveness of Daemon from Jennifer L. Armentrout's Lux series.

Once Upon A Read-a-Thon (Day 1)

It's DAY ONE of the...
Hosted by Candace's Book Blog, Pure Imagination, and Reading Angels, this RaT runs from July 8 - July 10. Go sign up!

Here are the books I hope to read:

Challenge: Answer the following questions!

1. Which book are you most excited to read in the coming year? It can be already released or coming soon!
Currently, I am most looking forward to reading...Origin (Book 4 of the Lux series) by Jennifer L. Armentrout!

2. Which book would you re-read if you had the time and weren't busy reading all of your other books?
A Walk to Remember, Dear John, The Last Song - all by Nicholas Sparks!

3. If you could meet any fictional character, who would it be and why?
This is so tough but I think I would pick Landon Carter from A Walk to Remember or Daemon from the Lux series or Rose Hathaway from the Vampire Academy series!

HAPPY READING!
