Allegiant - Veronica Roth

Summary from Goodreads:

The faction-based society that Tris Prior once believed in is shattered—fractured by violence and power struggles and scarred by loss and betrayal. So when offered a chance to explore the world past the limits she’s known, Tris is ready. Perhaps beyond the fence, she and Tobias will find a simple new life together, free from complicated lies, tangled loyalties, and painful memories.

But Tris’s new reality is even more alarming than the one she left behind. Old discoveries are quickly rendered meaningless. Explosive new truths change the hearts of those she loves. And once again, Tris must battle to comprehend the complexities of human nature—and of herself—while facing impossible choices about courage, allegiance, sacrifice, and love.
Allegiant BROKE MY HEART. Oh my gosh this book had me on such an emotional roller coaster! I definitely cried! I keep saying to myself, "I don't understand why everyone hated Allegiant. I don't understand." And I don't think I will ever understand. I could not have asked for a more perfect ending but that's because the way Allegiant ended, is the way I like some of my books to end every now and then. Obviously, you'd have to have read this book to know what I'm referring to...but I like endings that are so emotional and just drain me but leave me feeling hopeful and happy all at the same time. It was perfect and it is going to make for one heck of a movie! I just can't believe that this one will be broken up into TWO movies though! Grrrr. I keep trying to think of where they will end it but I have no idea! I didn't particularly care for all of the science stuff that we learned but that's because I just hate science and I wasn't understanding too much of it so I'm hoping they dumb it down a little bit in the movies for me! :) Overall, I am so happy I finally read this series and finally read something dystopian! These books are such a thrill ride and my brain was exhausted when I was all finished because of how much information Roth throws at us! I constantly felt like a kid at a candy store just being like "I want more! Gimme more!" Gah, I just love this series so much - GO READ IT!!!
