Top Ten Tuesday

It's TOP TEN TUESDAY! Hosted by Broke and Bookish, this week's topic is Top Ten Best/Worst Book to Movie Adaptations.

BEST:

--->AWTR: It was completely different from the book but I love that! Shane West is the perfect Landon Carter! This is my favorite movie of all time - I can quote it!
--->DJ: Ok, I was so mad when they changed the ending but if I ignore that and just watch the alternate ending that comes with the DVD then I'm ok. The book ending is my favorite book ending!

WORST:

--->TLS: MILEY RUINED THIS MOVIE.
--->Twilight series: I laugh every time I watch these. They did a terrible job! I CANNOT STAND ROBSTEN.

SAW THE MOVIE AND LIKED/LOVED THE MOVIE - NOW I NEED TO READ THE BOOK TO FULLY DECIDE:

--->Beastly: Two words: ALEX PETTYFER. Huge fan of his and I absolutely LOVE anything he does. And Vanessa is my favorite! (I'm a big High School Musical fan)
--->BC: I thought they did a decent job with this movie. I liked it enough.

--->HG: I really liked the movie. It was really pretty visually. It was a little long and drawn out for me, though. Currently reading the book but it feels like such a chore. I already saw the movie so why read the book?1
--->TLO: Two words: ZAC EFRON!!! I've tried reading the book version but I think it's one of Sparks' worse ones but I LOVE THE MOVIE.

--->Perks: Every says the book is really dark and disturbing, blah blah, so I'm nervous to read it. It seems that the movie is different from the book...? I LOVE THIS MOVIE. Logan Lerman seemed like the perfect Charlie. Beautiful movie!
--->WB: I actually ended up really enjoying this movie! Hoult is adorable!

    1. So I went back and updated my post with some thoughts (I just didn't feel like having to write explanations) and put that I was so mad about the ending to DJ! But I really enjoyed the rest of the movie! I thought Tatum/Seyfried were cast perfectly. Plus the real book ending is on the special features so at least I have it.

  2. I will warn you now that the BC movie has nothing in common with the book other than character names but the book is wonderful. The sequels not so much, at least books two and three as I haven't read the last, but I love the first book. I felt like THG movie was very close to the book. I still need to read Warm Bodies because I loved the movie. Perks was pretty close to the book too I think.

    1. That's what I keep hearing about BC. I read the first 70 pages or so before I saw the movie and I felt like it matched the beginning of the movie but I don't really remember.

  3. I've only read Twilight, The Hunger Games and Warm Bodies so I can't campare the Nicholas Sparks movies with the books, but I loved the movies. And I also want to read the books that you haven't read yet, cause the movies were great :)
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

  4. A Walk to Remember <3 I can't point a time where I've watched it and didn't end up crying. Gotta love a supposedly bad boy who turns out to be the perfect sweetheart. ;D

As for Warm Bodies... I so agree! I loved the book and while the movie was a bit boring at times, I loved Teresa as Julie and Hoult was a cute zombie :D

  6. Warm Bodies!! You should definitely read the book - though the two are VERY different. The movie played up a lot of comedy that just wasn't there in the book, which I enjoyed. But the book was also really beautifully written and a lot more emotionally fulfilling than the movie. So yeah, lol. Read the book!! ;D

    1. I will make sure I read the book! I liked the comedy in the movie. It was so interesting how when they eat brains they get their memories! So weird! And DAVE FRANCO WAS IN IT AND I LOVE HIM.

  7. I like the way you separated the ones that you haven't read but liked the movies. Apparently that's what I should have done. Thanks for stopping by my post earlier.
