Summary from Goodreads:
She's a tomboy. He's the boy next door…
Charlie Reynolds can outrun, outscore, and outwit every boy she knows. But when it comes to being a girl, Charlie doesn't know the first thing about anything. So when she starts working at a chichi boutique to pay off a speeding ticket, she finds herself in a strange new world. To cope with the stress of her new reality, Charlie takes to spending nights chatting with her neighbor Braden through the fence between their yards. As she grows to depend on their nightly Fence Chats, she realizes she's got a bigger problem than speeding tickets-she's falling for Braden. She knows what it means to go for the win, but if spilling her secret means losing him for good, the stakes just got too high.
Fun, original, and endearing, On the Fence is a romantic comedy about finding yourself and finding love where you least expect.
I liked On The Fence a lot! I think I liked it more then The Distance Between Us and I am actually rethinking the ratings I have given both of these books by Kasie! The romance in On The Fence wasn't my favorite and I really didn't even care if it was in there. What I absolutely LOVED was Charlie's relationships with all of her brothers (and Braden)! The way West wrote the humor and the way guys act seemed so spot on. I've ALWAYS wanted an older brother - ALWAYS. And this book just made me even more bummed that I don't have one. Anyone who has an older brother is so lucky :) I feel like I can actually relate to Charlie at this point in my life. I never wear makeup or go girly because honestly I feel like girls don't need to do that and if a guy can't like you without being all dolled up, then he's not worth it. But I actually am experimenting now because the girls I work with are rubbing off on me! It's fun now that I'm older but it's not something I'm going to do all of the time. I liked watching Charlie's journey a lot and I really wish the book was even longer just so I can get more of her and her brothers antics! Kasie West fans are in for a treat with this one! :)
Rating: 8.75/10
I'm so excited that you liked this one! I can't wait to read it, it sounds so cute. I'm so excited for the siblings' antics. ;D
